Toy Story is My Favorite Movie to Watch

Ever since it first came out, I fell in love with Toy Story. Normally, I don't like animated films because they don't look realistic enough for my tastes. However, I had a special interest in Toy Story since it was the first movie produced by Pixar. I had always been a fan of Apple Computer, and I was deeply saddened when Steve Jobs was fired from Apple. I followed Jobs closely, and I saw that he had started a new company called Pixar. I figured that if the animated films that Pixar produced were anywhere close to as good as the computers that Apple produced, then I was in for a real treat.

The first time I saw the movie in the movie theater, I couldn't keep my mouth from gaping open. It must have remained that way for the next several days. I told everyone I knew that Toy Story was the best movie I had ever seen. When it was released on DVD, I quickly purchased it and watched it at least once a week. Soon the DVD wore out, and eventually my DVD player broke, so I had to go without Toy Story for a while.

Recently, however, I have been getting to watch it as often as I like. With satellite television through expertsatellite.com deals in Colorado, it comes on all the time, and I can even record it when I am away from my television.

Dexter: The Deadliest Show on Television

One of my most guilty pleasures is sitting down and watching the deadly, and sometimes humorous, escapades of Dexter, your favorite neighborhood serial killer. Dexter is one of the leading experts on crime scene blood spatter. He also happens to be a serial killer…with one catch. He has a code of ethics. Taught by his foster father Harry, Dexter has a strict code that enables him to kill people with vigilante justice, all while satisfying his incredible thirst for killing. Despite being a raging psychopath, Dexter is able to conceal his antisocial personality and interact with people around him, including his sister, his girlfriend, her two children and his co-workers. The complications in Dexters life are magnified as he struggles with his social relationships and attempts to maintain both his counterfeit identity and his ability to duel out justice by killing other killers. Last season ended with Dexter fans on the edge of their seats as Dexters girlfriend was killed. While Dexter did not kill her, he had a direct hand in her death. Fans have had mixed emotions of the demise of Rita, and it will be interesting to see how the next season begins.

Dexter stars Michael C Hall. The series has an exciting list of special guests and season four saw the introduction of John Lithgow as the Trinity Killer. Michael C Hall will continue his role of Dexter during the return of next season.

This 2010 season marks the fifth year of Dexter and contains surprises and new adventures for Dexter fans. Be sure to tune in to your cable tv deal and watch the new, exciting episodes of Dexter, premiering in September, 2010!

Anything can happen while watching The View on satellite tv. The show is the brainchild of Barbra Walters and Bill Geddes. Ms. Walters is also one of the five hosts and I hate to say it but she looks so old in HD. Seriously click here for HD channels and let me know what you think. Anyways, she is a respected journalist and has hosted a few other programs, including The Today Show. Whoopi Goldberg is the newest host to join the show. She is an Oscar winning actress and isn't afraid to say what needs to be said and often creates controversy forher opinions. Joy Behar has been on he show since the beginnng. She is a stand-up comic and has a one liner for any situation. Sherri Shephard is another stand-up comic and actress. She likes to discuss her lack of love life and her son. The last host is Elizabeth Hasselback, a former Survivor contestant and fashion expert. They are not afraid to tackle any topic and have a day of Hot Topics each week, usually on Monday. They can talk about the latest celebrity scandal or the newest health treatment. They also interview actors, musicians and comics. People like to promote their latest projects on the show and are generally well received. However, they also have fashion shows and the latest gadgets. With so many hosts you will get a variety of view points and have a chance to learn about just about everything.

You Can See Dead People With Ghost Whisperer

I was annoyed when Joan of Arcadia, one of my favorite television shows at the time, went off the air, to be replaced with "Ghost Whisperer," another show with a supernatural theme but a worldview that was much less Christian and more New Agey.

I was determined not to like it, but then I happened upon an episode in which Melinda Gordon, a young antique shop owner who is capable of communicating with the dead, befriends the ghosts of several orphans who were killed in an orphanage fire several decades earlier. Her task was two-fold: to convince the boys to "cross over" and to persuade their onetime companion, now an elderly mogul, not to destroy the building where they still reside.

I found myself so touched by the story that I couldn't help giving the series a bit of a pass. One thing I had to say for Melinda: she was a lot less angsty than Joan. Played by Jennifer Love Hewitt, Melinda is a very kind woman who never charges for her psychic services. She also tells very few people what she is capable of doing. Her husband Jim knows, though, and is used to her abilities taking her life in very strange directions.

Now, whenever I catch "Ghost Whisperer" on tv since I had my satellite dish installation, I tune in to see how Melinda will help the ghost of the week.

The Golden Globe Awards

The Golden Globes are a great Awards show to watch, especially on my direct tv. It's exciting because it is considered to be the pre-show to the Oscars. Actors and Actresses that win a Golden Globe tend to go on to win an Oscar which is considered to be the most prestigious award in Hollywood.

The Golden Globes are not only an exciting night of television to watch, the pre-show which airs before it is fun too. That's the part of the show where reporters stand outside of the show and interview the Actors/Actresses as they make their way into the show. They ask them about who they think it going to win, what they are nominated for and most importantly, how they are feeling at that very moment. It's exciting to see just how down to earth these people are and how excited they are to be nominated.

The Golden Globes are also a more relaxed type of ceremony. The Actors/Actresses sit at round tables where they get to drink champagne and eat. It's unlike any other awards show on TV. It's much more like a Dinner Ceremony. You can see that they are also much calmer with a drink in their hand rather than having to sit in a theatre seat for 3 1/2 hours and wait for their category to be called.

During the superbowl 2010 I saw the funniest commercial. It was the winner for the Doritos’s crash the superbowl contest. The first time I laughed so hard I just about wet my pants, and it still makes me laugh each time it comes on my direct tv pay per view.I’m talking about the one with the sassy little kid. A guy who looks like a player, carrying a bouquet of flowers, knocks on a door. It’s opened by a sexy, beautiful woman. She invites the man in and introduces him to the kid. She then walks out of the room and tells the little boy to “play nice!” As she is walking away the guy is watching her butt and pulls a Dorito chip out of a full bowl on the table, and then flops on the couch. He eats the chip and the little boy gets this very angry look on his face.The kid stalks over to the date, smacks him in the face and puts 2 fingers up. He says, “First, keep your hands off my momma. And second, keep your hands off my Doritos!” I can’t eat a bag of Doritos today without sticking two fingers up and quoting, “keep your hands off my momma and your hands off my chips!”

Sid the Science Kid

Sid the Science Kid is one of my favorite kids' shows. I record the episodes on my DVR we got with directv deals so that my son can re-watch them whenever he wants. I love the theme music and pretty much all of the songs on the show. The song "Rug Time" is cute. I also love the song Sid sings while he's gettting ready for school. My favorite part of every episode is when he arrives at school and sings and dances with his friends on the playground. It's funny and cute. My son even tries some of the dance moves. I hear his little feet sliding around on the bedroom floor whenever he watches the show.
Sid and the other characters don't look like real people. They're unique-looking. They have mop heads and short, thick bodies. I think they're adorable. I like that Sid thinks of himself as a scientist. He's curious and funny, just like my little boy. He teaches scientific terms like "hypothesis" and "theory". Sid asks simple, child-like questions. He makes learning fun.

NBA Finals Championship

In this basketball season my husband attention is all glued to the TV. He likes watching different sports such as football, baseball and basketball. When the NBA finals started I get startled a lot from his scream and harsh reaction every time his team is behind. He was sad during those two consecutive games when the Lakers lose against the Celtics. Now he can't stop talking about the NBA finals championship which will be play tomorrow. He had so much confidence that his team will win and crown as champion. Sometimes I find it so funny how serious he is while watching his game. He doesn't want to talk and he turns the volume up so he can hear the sportscaster updates and announcement. He gets upset when my kids playing in front of the TV and change the channel in the cable box while he was watching his game. Our cable box is place right on the floor under the TV stand. Another thing is our cable sometimes goes off because of poor connection. It buffers and sometimes we can't view some of the channels that we like to watch. We are thinking of switching to different provider and try the Dish specials. I have heard they have clear reception and you can watch your favorite shows. It's not a bad idea plus we can save with the cable specials that they offer. Their specials as part for the promotion are great savings I suppose. You can watch your favorite sports, movies, HD without getting bothered by the bad connection. The best thing is I will get the chance to watch my favorite shows in the Philippine channels.

Head to the beach!

One of my favorite activities to do in the summer is to head down to the local beach club or sports club, get out my racquet and start swinging away at the tennis balls. My friends and I are long time tennis advocates and have been playing since young children. It is not that we don't get to play tennis in the winter but we get so jealous when we are stuck at home watching people play on sunny warm courts on direct tv packages Pennsylvaniawhile we are stuck preparing the next days match at the indoor tennis bubble to protect us from the cold and wind. There is nothing quite the same as the way the game changes so drastically between the winter and summer season. When the bubble over the courts is lifted a fresh breeze of fresh air flows over the court and our bodies enlivening the game and improving our form almost as if the vitamin D in the sun infused us with a new dose of invorgation. Another good aspect about playing tennisoutdoors in the summer is that the sun gives our nicely toned summer arms a nice healthy glow so we look better in our bikinis when we actually take the time to get away from the courts and head toward the beach for a nice refreshing ocean dip.

In Plain Sight’s Characters are Deep

Since I was finally able to get satellite TV thanks to the new directtv package prices, I’ve been watching In Plain Sight every chance I get. The show is on Wednesday nights at 10 o’clock pm on the USA network. Each episode is different yet adds to the depth of the characters.

This show takes place in Albuquerque - Santa Fe, New Mexico. "In Plain Sight" is a very different type of crime drama television. In this show, the crime has already happened. These characters have agreed to testify at trial about what they have seen or been a part of. In exchange for their testimony, they are given the opportunity to relocate and start their lives again with new identities in the Federal Witness Protection Program (WITSEC) . "In Plain Sight" episodes illustrate the difficulty that relocation has on these people.

Mary McCormack is wonderfully talented actress who plays US Marshal Mary Shannon. Mary is a no-frills type of girl. She is often a harsh realist who takes her job very seriously.

Fred Weller is witty and charming and plays US Marshal Marshall Mann. Once people get over the irony of Marshall’s name, they find a caring, intelligent man who just wants to make the transition easier for everyone.

Paul Ben-Victor’s character’s name is Stan McQueen. Stan is a Chief Inspector for the Witness Protection Service for the Southwest region. Stan is a great boss who believes in his team. He knows that Mary & Marshall are excellent partners who work great together, though he’s not sure how.

Mary Shannon’s family is yet another major challenge in her life. Her mother Jinx, played by Leslie Ann Warren, is an alcoholic who can’t hold a job and expects her daughter to save her, especially from herself. Mary has a sister named Brandi, played by Nichole Hiltz. Brandi has all the same self-destructive habits as her mother.

The End and the Beginning

After a seven year marriage I made the decision that I would have to get on with my life. It was time for me to be happy for a change. I was sick and tired of always having to be the person that kept everyone around me happy. I decided that I would move to a place far away from everyone I knew. It was time for a change of scenery. I did some research at work and wound up finding the perfect place. I found a small cottage for rent near the ocean in Florida. I used money that I had been saving to pay a deposit and get the utilities and phone service turned on. I wanted everything to be ready when I arrived. This new home was over 100 miles away from where I was, but I managed to get everything done via the internet and phone.

The day that I left marked the end of my unhappy life. This would be the beginning of a new chapter for me. The whole trip there I blasted my favorite music, I sang at the top of my lungs, and I was the happiest I had ever been in my entire life. When I arrived at my new place I was amazed at what I had accomplished. I took in my few belongings and made a seat on the floor. Happy tears streamed from my eyes as I looked at the shabby little place I was surrounded by. It was almost completely empty. There was no furniture to speak of, and I didn’t even have Home Internetyet. I’d gotten a Clear TV Bundle but they wouldn’t set it up for two more days. I did not even know where I would lay my head to go to sleep that night. I did not care if I had to sleep on the cold hard floor. This place still made me ecstatic. This was my place and it was all that I needed for a happy life. This was the end and the beginning. I was finally happy.
