Updates: J&J Milestones and Adventures

I haven't done much updates with my dragons blog and their milestones, activity, adventures and more after I change their domain name. I even considering changing the domain again when it expires. Waaa i dunno, something wrong my fickleminded head. Any suggestion?

Anyway, what are they up to?....

Jake still in potty training and so far he is doing really great. Every time he felt like pooping he just run quickly to the bathroom and put his potty ring on his own. He can potty without my help though except cleaning his bottom. He knew how to spell three letter words using the toy lappy. His attitude and behavior is sometimes on and off. He still not done with tantrums and terrible 3 mania. But all these are manageable and he is also scared at us. The 123 magic still works with him so far which is opposite with the little Miss.
123 magic doesn't work that much with this girl. Vocabulary wise, she is better at her age. She knows many funny words to say and easily imitate what she sees on TV. She thinks that if mommy and daddy can do this and that or anything, Justine too. She's been our co sleeper this past weeks. She decides which room she is going to sleep. That's how powerful she think this girl is. It's cute though but have to cut that attitude because sometimes she really cross the lines. She is easy to handle too but once she is having her moment, you cannot expect her to be quite right away. If she's mad then she's mad, very transparent. One energetic, happy, witty and talented girl.

Jake and Justine are team, friends and enemy too. They play along together but sometimes Jake bossing around this little girl and this girl will follow all Jake's order. If she stops playing with him that's when Jake gets mad and gives her a noggy. Then after that they become friend again. Jake is protective with Justine but he pushes her lots of time. What a fun world of toddlers.

Play like there's no tomorrow

The daredevil is always on the go. She went straight to the slides as soon as we got to the playground yesterday. The buckaroo was acting shy at first because of the crowd, He was not used on seeing too many kids that day. But the kikay just never care. There she is sliding like a pro.

She was sliding the small slides until she got tired of it. So, she look around the playground and saw the rope ladder. She already tried this one before and i think she finds this one challenging. So she started climbing up. I took a quick snap of my camera because this daredevil doesn't care how dangerous the ladder with no one holding her.
The Joe came and kind of assist her but she was the one did all the climbing. Jake is scared to try this one but she doesn't.

Now that she was on top, she sat right away down the slides and weeeeee, then went back to the ladder.

Jake wanted to try so Joe had to hold Jake up but the girl can't wait for her turn and she started climbing up. So, Joe lifted Jake down to the ground because he was scared and he went the other way to get up there.

So, the girl was already up there and just sliding down with big giggles.

She kept doing it again and again like there is no tomorrow until one girl took over the ladder and she was lost. She saw the smaller ladder but it was not as challenging as this big one. I offered her juice instead and take some break hehe.
She dares danger and doesn't care. Lots of mom in the playground asked us how old she is and amazed of her. She just turned 20 months old last week and she acts like two years old.

And they're off! The stages of crawling usually go something like this: from a sitting position to all fours, to rocking back and forth, to finally pushing off with the knees -- and then starting to move forward (or back). But there are plenty of variations on this progression. Many babies never crawl. Others develop a crawling style that looks more like soldiers bellying through the underbrush or monkeys poised on fingertips and tiptoes.

Justine have done all these when she was 6-7 months. At 8 months she can crawl already. She is 8 months and 2 week right now but she can already pull herself up and stand. She started doing this last week.




When Jake broke our fence going upstairs few days ago, he would go up and down the stairs back and forth. Justine love to play with so she chases him around but when the Kuya want to go upstairs the lil girl cries and wish she could follow. She tries to climb up the stairs but her leg still too short to reach it. She wants to walk and run like her kuya and giggles if you hold her walk. I guess that the advantage of being the second child coz you have alder siblings to look up and the developments seems faster than the first born.

Identify Letters and Numbers

I am so proud of my buckaroo for learning to identify some of the letters in the alphabet and all the numbers from 1-10. When we teach him something we thought he was not interested because he is not paying attention and just give us the look like "what are you talking about". But actually, we can't underestimate our little tot as they are smart in their own little way. So, Jake knows few of the letters in the alphabet but instead of saying the letter he said the word that we make as example. Like M- he would say Mmm mama, B- Bbbaby, and he identify letter C, Y, G, Z, O, E, and more. There are few letters that he doesn't know yet or can't say it rather like R, Q and those hard to pronounce kind of letters.


He can identify all the numbers. He would point to the numbers and say what is it. Hes favorite numbers to say is eight. In thecar, computer, tv and every where if he sees 8, he would point to it and say it loud eight. He is also very clever with number 9 or 6. If he sees the number 9, he will say six, and we correct him "its nine". What he would do is, he turn it over to look like 6 and say six. And in colors he still get confused because of the words I guess that hard for them to follow. My buckaroo, moving forward to being a big boy.

My 7-month-old Justine

After she masters the ability to grasp an object, an exciting step follows: transferring it from one hand to the other. For now, baby at 7 months will experiment so much with both hands that you won't have a clue which hand is preferred, the right or the left. In fact, handedness doesn't usually become obvious until much later. A preference might become apparent around 9 months, but even then, little ones tend to be ambidextrous, sometimes until they start school.

Baby at 7 months is learning to recognize emotions and moods, and finding new ways to demonstrate those feelings. One wonderful example: You might start getting kisses. They may be drooly and gummy at first, but they'll be just as sweet! When your baby's bored, you may hear a fretful squawk or an attention-getting squeal.

By now, you may have already told your baby that the telephone isn't a toy, or that rattles aren't for throwing, or that her sister's hair isn't for pulling. At this age, your baby may begin testing your authority by refusing to follow your simple directions. She's not really being disobedient or willful — just curious.

Keep in mind that she simply can't remember things you tell her for more than a couple of seconds at a time. The best tactic is to use a simple "no" and then distract her.

Across cultures — from Western to Latin American to African — babies show increasing separation anxiety between 6 and 15 months.

These are really true with my little jelly bean. She is becoming a handful, going under the table or chairs. She also put hersefl in trouble when she is under the table because she always bang her head because she is trapped. She also likes going to to the cable box and DVD and start playing with it by pounding them. She knows she is not allowed to be those place because as soon as we call her name she would turn around and smile. So, we move her away and the next thing we know she there again where the cable box or dvd again or pull the piano covers. She pulls any body's hair like my hair and Jake. Since she can't pull her Dads hair, she'd rather pull her Dad's beard. I'll post some of her activities next time.
