Favorite Educational Channel

Guest written by our friend Mason Abbott

My Favorite Educational Channel is undoubtedly Sesame Street on our www.tvbydirect.com satellite tv. This children program has been around for over 25 years. My children have grown to love Big Bird, Oscar the Grouch, Cookie Monster, Bert and Ernie, and all the other character both new and old who has been added to the show. Mr. Hover is the store owner and he plays his part very well. The people who portray these characters are loving and childlike. My children never got tired of watching their favorite puppet act out and either did I? My grandchildren have now joined ranks as their parents once did as a faithful viewer of Sesame Street.

The program is mainly geared toward preschool age children, and helps them focus on reading, spelling, numbers, and shape recognition. The PBS station is a privately funded show is as gained respect and recognition for its success and academic achievements in helping children be better prepared for school. The program is so informative that even toddlers can advance in their learning process if at all parents have the extra time to devote to helping their child, develop a intellectual approach to learning. They even have the DVD's that parents and teachers can rent from the public or school library. Sesame has and is still living up to its reputation as being one of the best free public educational program on Television.
